One of the greatest shock for all the cricket lovers in India and abroad was the ICC ruled out Eden's plea for extention of the timeline for completing rennovations. Earlier ICC inspectors reported that Eden Gardens would not be able to host the India-England fixture in the World Cup 2011 on 27th Feb. Soon after CAB had appealed for such a grant of extention. With ICC having ruled out such plea has drawn curtains on every possibility of Kolkata to witness a clash of the titans.
